Training Schedule
- 180-200 clock hours, 5 weeks of training to include classroom, pad, and practical driving instruction
- M-F for 5 weeks, 7:30 AM. until 5:30 PM. daily
- Training courses begin every other Monday except for major holidays

Would you train on our specialized equipment?
No, we exclusively train on late-model tractors with sleeper cabs and 53’ trailers.
Do you train on weekends or evenings?
No, we only offer a full-time weekday program Monday through Friday.
Do you offer training for employees who already have their CDL learners permit?
Yes
What does the training consist of (hours in classroom, hours online, total hours, etc)?
45 hours of Classroom, 25 hours of PTI, 50 hours of Backing & Skills, 60 hours Road Driving
Do you offer onsite training (when you come to our location to train?)
No, we only offer training onsite at a Roadmaster location at this time
Do you offer lodging?
Yes, we have arrangements with local hotels at each of our locations
Do all of your trainers meet the required FMCSA’s ELDT requirements?
Yes.
What is provided to drivers upon completion of their training?
Certificate of Completion and a waiver to be presented to the DPS for issuance of the CDL A license
Do you offer trainer certification? (to train our trainers)
No.
Do you offer training on manual transmissions?
No we only have automatic transmissions
Do you offer Class B training?
No, only Class A CDL training.
Corporate Fleet Driver Training
Overview
Roadmaster truck driving school offers comprehensive Class A CDL training that can be completed in about a month. Students will have complete the required training hours before graduation. This training will consist of three core areas:
- Classroom Instruction of procedures and regulations.
- Training and Backing pad practice.
- On the road, real-world driving.
Classroom
Our instructor lead curriculum will provide students with general knowledge and CDL permit instruction.
Training Pad
At Roadmaster, your drivers wiil learn to drive a truck in real world scenarios. Our instructors focus on skills development during our hands-on training. We train students to perform pre and post trip inspections.
On The Road Training
Students demonstrate skills learned in the classroom and pad. Third-party testing is available at some of our locations.
