Raises in pay have been hard to come by the past few years, which is no longer the case for Professional Truck Drivers. As our economy grows and becomes stronger, businesses can return to paying their employee’s competitive wages, and it looks like professional truck drivers are being rewarded for all of their hard work! The job searching site Glassdoor.com says “truck drivers’ wages grew 7.8% in October, compared to a year ago,” and that it was the biggest jump among 60 common professions.1 This is great news for existing Truck Drivers or anyone interested in entering the professional trucking industry! “We have a booming economy, we’re seven years into the expansion and Truck Drivers are the front line,” says Andrew Chamberlain from Glassdoor. The company reports that overall (all jobs) the wage growth was only 2.8%, compared to the 7.8% Truckers received. America’s Truck Drivers deliver’s the goods and are finally reaping the reward of a growing economy.
